Dryade has successfully completed its crowdfunding campaign. Thanks to the support of 318 donors, we raised €25,477 together. This means we reached our target of €25,000 — even before the deadline..
The crowdfunding campaign was launched after a previously approved National Lottery grant for our project on the European Nature Restoration Law was not paid out. The minister Jan Jambon blocked the payment. That grant was intended to enable us to provide training, share knowledge and support organisations working on nature restoration.
We will now continue that work after all.
The many donations, shares and messages of support show that Dryade does not stand alone. What started as a necessary financial response grew into a powerful signal: independent civil society work is needed, and attempts to financially block critical and socially important work do not simply succeed.
We sincerely want to thank everyone who donated, shared the crowdfunding campaign or sent us words of encouragement. Your support makes a real difference.
In the coming months, we will continue working on the project around the Nature Restoration Law. We will gladly keep our supporters informed about the next steps and about what this support makes possible.
Dryade continues.
